Glendale votes June 2.
Voting is such a tiresome dead end, nothing really changes. Then it did. And Ladies like myself went from living under the sheets to hiding under the bed.
Glendale: technically translates to Valley Valley, once rolling hills into a lovely backyard mountain belonging to the Tongva tribe. They were kicked out so white people could build houses replaced by other houses that are owned by more white people named MAGA who don't want those houses encroached upon. Probably neither did the Tongva people but too bad, those big cry babies, right? They should have been more MAGA like, right? Totally on them.
Which brings us to MAGA, yes dears, even in Valley Valley, RFD.
They're a thing, and that is why this vote matters.
There are 5 city council members. Each serves a 4 year term. But elections for them are every two years, and this cycle three of the five seats are up for election. Each of the three seats has a MAGA candidate, and each of the three seats has someone human.
MAGA - self-centric xenophobes.
Someone human - not MAGA. Bonus consideration: LGBTQIA+ friendly.
Lady Whistledale would like to resume a safe and human life, but more importantly she would like to see that for all her LGBTQIA+ family in Valley Valley: people who work here and visit, parents, families, educators, all the students queer and questioning.
