The Dirty Elections of Glendale.

Lady Whistledale LOVES dirty things and Glendale elections certainly are that! A MAGA phenomenon? Oh no, Glendale was dirty much longer than our current crop of amateurs. Here's an oldy and goody from the era of Glendale MAGA wants to preserve, the famous Gay v. Gay of 2011.
Mike Mohill's current e-toilet paper was preceded by another called Vanguard Weekly spearheaded by a gentleman named Barry Allen. While The Lady has never read it, that Mr. Allen was once arrested by secret service on his way out of the country for circulating and possessing counterfeit money, and that Mohill was drawn to him, might be clues to its tone.
It was election season. Nine candidates were vying for the available seats including Mike Mohill and then current councilmember John Drayman. Not unlike the present, it appears Mohill was making his weekly council pilgrimage to unload that particular week's septic tank. On March 8, Mohill's comments endeavored to link Drayman to a housing scheme. Draymen responded by announcing Mohill's record of three arrests, one for trying to trim his neighbor's protected tree because it was hanging over into his yard and the other two, a year apart, for public soliciting. (Oooh, Michael, you naughty little boy, was that YOU? Alas, glory holes. I'll never know.)
The following week, with a parade of family members supporting Mike, including his wife, Mike responded in kind: he outed Drayman.

The links for both full meetings are embedded. The first of these videos is heavily edited for time. The second, less so. Mike and his wife are intact and Drayman's is minimal. This is because at some point it becomes very clear what is happening in these videos in 2011 is exactly what is happening here in Glendale now.
Would Lady Whistledale ever call out a fellow queer? NEVER, a proper lady doesn't blow n' tell. Initial empathies went to Mike. But one cannot deny the prevalent double standard here and after Mrs. and Mr. Mohill's pleas of innocence Drayman's response has a point.
It's not terribly dissimilar to the current MAGA's hating on our good friends at GEN. When Ray Shelton holds up a swastika, GEN posts a picture of Ray Shelton holding up a swastika. When Jordan Henry orchestrates a riot, GEN writes about Jordan Henry orchestrating a riot. Versus what everyone featured on that site would have you believe, that they were building an orphanage in a third world country and GEN blindly attacked them. LOL, sure honey.
So that while The Lady has a strong moral conviction to not out the dicks she sucks in public restrooms, should one of those dicks keep poking well beyond their 5 minute shelf life, sure, that might nudge the ethics.
The Vanguard Weekly hasn't ceased, it's morphed. No idea what became of Barry Allen, Mike Mohill has stepped up. His sexual fluidity is only OK for him, though, not so much anyone else. His litter includes Beth Brooks, Greg Krikorian, Susan Wolfson, Tony Passarella - a real dynamic braintrust.
And Drayman? It wasn't the housing thing that got him, it was embezzlement.
