Yes gals, once upon a time local politics were a sleepy affair, and then a perfect storm: a black President + something called transgender + 24/7 infotainment.

Has anyone amassed a list yet of all the nicknames assigned to our current MAGA in Chief? That wanton cur, none on it ever seem quite fine tuned enough. When do we get to refer to his regime as legit fascist with zero irony and hyperbole? ICE killing citizens isn't enough? Detainees dying in concentration camps isn't the line?

Between the perfect storm and the fascism, it occurred to wanna-be's sleepy local politics were the first line of opportunity to fulfilling their Hungry Hippo dreams. MAGAs are organized and there is money. Get in on the ground level, control and normalize, pad the team.

Glendale MAGAs are no different. Sure, the game is weak to us, but we are not the target. In our city council race the strategy is to prey on senior homeowners with fear tactics and enough disinformation to kill a rotund bible salesman. And it could work, look around, ladies!

With school board candidates at least one has decided breaking campaign rules isn't enough; Greg Krikorian is such a desperate pile of flaccid, he resorted to publicly naming and shaming students. And in the style of Greg Krikorian did so referencing nothing that was the actual case. All this done, of course, in Mike Mohill's "news"letter.

In the interest of maintaining my girlish etiquette may we simply ask,

What level of soulless need to erect your impotent penis do you have to have to name, sully, and lie about a child ? Did it work? Did you budge your resigned gravity even a little, or was it all for naught?

We asked Jordan Henry this when she did it. She never got back to me.

One of Lady Whistledale's favorite lines - not including any related to sailors - is this beauty from Tom Carson.
